Pink has denied she is taking over hosting duties for Kelly Clarkson’s show.
The 46-year-old crooner took to social media to set the record straight after PageSix reported last week she had moved to New York City to take the reins after Clarkson quit last month.
In a since-deleted Instagram video, Pink — who previously denied speculation that she’d separated from her husband Carey Hart after 20 years of marriage — said: ‘Hi everybody. Just in a continuation of debunking all of the sources that we’ve got going on in the world. I’m not taking over the Kelly Clarkson Show.’
The pop star made clear that her week of guest hosting was simply a favor for a friend, and that a permanent role was never on the cards.
She said: ‘I’m doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it’s a fun thing. If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I’m currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world.’
She looked happy as she kicked off her hosting duties for the Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday.

The singer had a glow to her as she posed on stage with her daughter Willow.
They matched in the same burgundy color as they smiled while arm in arm.
‘Kicking off #WomensHistoryMonth with our guest host P!nk and a special Broadway hour ft. Darren Criss, Shoshana Bean, the cast of Ragtime, and P!nk’s daughter, Willow!’ the caption for the Instagram page for the Kelly Clarkson Show read.
There was also a video of her talking to a camera while backstage. The performer said she was just trying to not screw up the show and giving it her all as she wore a pale pink sweater.
‘Let’s get this party started!’ the caption read.
This comes after Pink shot down claims that she was leaving her husband Carey Hart calling a report from People ‘fake news.’

The star is taking off the full week of episodes as part of the show’s Women’s History Month programming.
Last week PageSix suggested that Pink may be taking over Clarkson’s show long-term.
The site added that Pink has already moved from California to New York City, where the popular daytime chat show takes place.
Clarkson confirmed in February she was leaving the show after seven seasons.
The singer wants to spend more time with her two children she had with the late Brandon Blackstock who died last year at age 48.
The 43-year-old star shared the surprising news that the current season of The Kelly Clarkson Show will be her last.
The Stronger hitmaker explained she was stepping back from the show to ‘prioritize’ her two children and sent gratitude to the team she has worked with over the years.

A source recently told People that Clarkson is looking forward to a slower pace amid the ‘next phase’ in her life.
‘After years of an intense daily schedule, she’s excited to move at a different pace and have more flexibility to spend time with her kids without the structure of a daily show,’ the insider said.
The songstress will also have extra time ‘to be more present at home while still doing the creative work she loves.’
In regards to what else she has in store for the future, the source said that Clarkson will continue to pursue her passion for music.

‘Kelly still wants to make music and perform, and she’s open to popping up on projects she enjoys, but nothing that requires an ongoing daily grind.’
The insider continued, ‘For her, this next phase is about balance.’
Meanwhile, Pink was brought into the spotlight on Thursday.
The artist denied a split from husband Hart when she took a video of herself and shared it to social media.
‘So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,’ Pink said on Instagram. ‘Thank you People magazine. Thank you Us Weekly.’
She went on to make it clear that the claims were false and ‘fake news.’
They have two children together: daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, nine.
