  • Amanda Holden laments huge change that comes with parenting teens: ‘It’s so sad’

Amanda Holden attended the UK premiere of Disney and Pixar’s Hoppers in Leicester Square solo over the weekend. The Britain’s Got Talent star, who voices character Amanda the Spider in the animated film, expressed her regret that her two lookalike daughters, Lexi, 20, and Hollie, 14, were not by her side as she walked the yellow carpet.

The 55-year-old presenter looked chic in a Holland Cooper outfit, and when quizzed about whether her daughters help her get ready for events, she told easynewcastleescorts.co.uk: “Normally, my children will be with me, but one’s at university and the other is 14. There’s no getting her out of bed for a premiere at 10 o’clock in the morning.”

While the girls typically accompany their mother to such glamorous events, many parents will relate to the changes that occur as children grow older. Amanda appeared nostalgic for Hollie’s younger years, joking: “I left her sleeping, which is so sad because normally when she was little she’d be here, clutching my hand, dead excited to see the movie, but we can watch it in the cinema.”

Amanda lent her voice to the comedy, which also features Dave Franco and Jon Hamm and is set for release on March 6, 2026, in the UK, alongside her close friend Alan Carr, who plays a squirrel.

    Amanda’s family life

Amanda has been married to Chris Hughes since 2008 and the couple shares two daughters. Their eldest, Lexi, was born in 2006, while their younger daughter, Hollie, was born in 2012. Lexi started university in 2024 and has been signed to Storm Management, the agency that launched Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford, since February 2024. Hollie, meanwhile, is largely shielded from the spotlight by her famous mum and does not have a public Instagram account.

    Parenting teenagers

Amanda has been open about her approach to parenting, telling easynewcastleescorts.co.uk in an exclusive chat in May 2025 about the advice she gave her eldest daughter as she started university.

“I’m sort of saying to her, this is where you’ll find your people. This is your chance to not worry what people think or how you’re perceived. It’s a chance for you to find your family outside your family, grow as a human being, and not care about opinions,” she explained.

Regarding her daughters’ personalities, Amanda said: “Lexi’s super diligent and constantly wanting to help and questioning how she can make herself useful in the world, which I’m thinking is definitely a female thing in our family.”

     Life in Surrey

Away from red carpets and radio studios, Amanda lives with her husband and daughters in a family home in Surrey valued at approximately £7 million. The family moved to their Cobham mansion in late 2023 after relocating from London.
